The Demand for New Homes
After years of stagnation in the planning system, focus has now turned back to building better homes in our towns and cities. It makes perfect sense – these are our hubs of employment, transport and public services.
There seems to be agreement that we need to build more homes, but the disconnect has been on where to build them – ‘Not In My Back Yard’
The leading political parties now acknowledge that this attitude has stifled housing supply, but with careful design and consideration, we can make better use of our urban land to the benefit of the economy and our communities

Urban Land specialises in assembling development sites and obtaining planning permission.
If you have land that might be suitable, however large or small, then contact us and we will carry out an appraisal to determine its potential.
“Better use should be made of small pockets of brownfield land by being more permissive, so more homes can be built more quickly, where and how it makes sense, giving more confidence and certainty to SME builders.”
“……the economic and environmental imperatives all point towards a move away from a land-hungry destruction of natural habitats in favour of a much more efficient regeneration of our cities.”
“…the Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities have committed to a new era of regeneration, inner-city densification and housing delivery across England,…”
